Hi everybody, how's it hanging? I was just curious what everybody's thoughts are on mobile gaming or as some people like to call it smartphone or tablet gaming?
I mean we can't deny that people kids even are moving away from handhelds and more towards mobile devices for their gaming fixes, whether it be a tablet or a smartphone.
So many titles are being brought to iPhone and Google Play each day and the games are fun despite their touch controls which aren't bad in all cases. And the graphics on smartphones / tablets is even on par with the 3DS or in some cases better.
Big Name titles & spinoffs brought to iPhone
Castlevania Crash Bandicoot Dragons Lair Final Fantasy Generator Rex Ghost Trick Grand Theft Auto LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4 & 5-7 Madden NFL (12 & 13 Social) Mega Man NBA 2k13 Need for Speed Phantasy Star Phoenix Wright Prince of Persia Rayman Scribblenauts The Sims Skylanders Star Wars Super Monkey Ball Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 Worms

I think a lot of people have a love/hate relationship with mobile gaming! Personally I don't like to play REAL games on my mobile devices. I like to save that for my 3DS when I'm on the go. However, there are some mobile titles that are really well done on mobile devices, for example Plants VS. Zombies. I heard that the DSi Ware version of this game isn't nearly as good as the mobile version. But I have PVZ on both my iPad and my Kindle Fire and I love it! It seems to me that mobile gaming should be restricted to social games like Draw Something and Words with Friends. Leave the REAL games on the REAL consoles like the 3DS!

I don't have any mobile games, yet, but I kind of feel the same as Glux. I mean, for one I'm really annoyed that Square Enix decided to remake The World Ends With You on the iOS instead of the 3DS, where I feel it would have been more appropriate and more successful. I feel that putting games like that on the phones and tablets won't really make people buy it, since typically people that play games on their phones are usually looking for something low in price that you don't really need to put too much effort into. Stuff like that makes me wish that mobile gaming didn't even exist, since it's not like I play games that are appropriate for mobile gamers, and I detest other games that are more appropriate for consoles or handhelds being made for that market. Of course, this is a personal preference and I don't have anything against mobile gamers, but I feel that their games should stick to their appropriate markets. :/
